Board of Governors
The Board of Governors is responsible for the overall conduct, management, administration and control of the property, revenue, business and affairs of the university. The Board's basic responsibility is to represent the interests of the university in directing its affairs and to do so within the Post Secondary Learning Act and the Concordia University of Edmonton Act . This includes:
Appointing the President and other senior officers of the university, salaries, compensation and terms of employment for all employees and pension plans for retirees;
Overseeing the university's finances, investments and pension plans;
Setting tuition and other fees;
Construction and maintenance of buildings, equipment and capital assets; and
Overseeing the setting of the university's long-term vision, mission and strategic direction and monitoring progress toward achievement of its goals.
The Board delegates the day-to-day management of the university to the President and senior administration.
